Maison · LX Atelier

The Maison.

An independent Suzhou silk atelier · contemporary Eastern aesthetic.

The Studio

Who we are.

LX Atelier is an independent silk studio in Shengze, Suzhou. Working with the town's heritage mills and master artisans, we weave Song brocade and kesi and finish with Suzhou's two-faced embroidery — for clients across the globe.

We hold a single belief: true luxury is the gift of time, of care, and of an Eastern grace that cannot be reproduced.

Partnership

An atelier within an atelier.

Our core silk comes from Shengze's Huajia Group — the half-century, vertically integrated silk house behind the 桑罗 · SangLuo brand: own mulberry estates, reeling, weaving and dyeing under one roof, 6A-grade mulberry from OEKO-TEX-certified mills. Their looms are the quiet engine behind our finishing rooms.

Beliefs

Our Beliefs.

I

Heritage Carried

We carry a thousand years of Suzhou silk practice quietly forward.

II

Craft Above All

Each piece passes thirty-six steps in the hands of masters with ten or more years at the loom.

III

Client First

Every commission is received personally — and made for one client alone.

IV

Quietly Sustainable

Natural mulberry silk, plant dyes, plastic-free packaging — out of respect for the source.

The Lineage

A town, a thread, a studio.

Song–Ming

A Town of Looms

Shengze, Wujiang grows into one of China's four silk capitals — and the looms have never stopped.

1969

The Integrated Mill

Huajia's predecessor — the Tanqiu reeling mill — opens in Shengze; today it is a fully integrated silk house, from mulberry estate to finished cloth.

Today

The Studio

LX Atelier works as an independent studio — pairing Shengze cloth with bespoke couture making and Su-embroidery finishing.

Tomorrow

Open to the World

Made to order, shipped worldwide — the archive grows one commission at a time.

The silk slips through the fingers like spring water — a single piece speaks more than a thousand words. The most quietly Eastern couture I have ever worn.
